Good morning all,

I am an assistant chief of a 25 member rural/resort area volunteer department in west central Michigan.

I just received word that one of our long time firefighters has cancer and it doesn't sound good. We reorganized our department about a year ago and currently have no memorial traditions for a firefighters family.

I was hoping to get some ideas from all of you on traditions at a service and a lasting memorial we could present to the family.

I'm new to posting so forgive me if this was not the proper spot for this topic.
