    Default Greetins fellow flatlanders

Hey everybody! Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a transplant from the IACOJ site, that some seemed to have abandoned...I recognize a few familiar names already...
Looking forward to making new friends and learning new stuff.

What's the matter - things kind of slow at work? Bored?
FYI, she is a TRUE flatlander.
Also, did you see who's the pres. of the Illinois Delegation of the IACOJ? Better behave yourself in here.

    Laura:
Welcome to the Illinois site. As a matter of fact; BOTH sites have been a little quiet. But that's not a bad thing. Fires are again getting the headlines. The tragic domestic violence call in Kentucky will spur some debate about scene securement/safety, I am sure.
But there have been no embarassments to the fire service lately and I believe that that is the reason for a lack of discussion.
I check in at both sites everyday and respond when the feeling moves me.
    Anyone heard from Jay?

    Default About Jay

I've heard from Jay. He's been gracious enough to fill me in on the MABAS end of the fire and some other things. He said he's been feeling under the weather for a few days. But he's helped me out a lot the last couple of days. We're getting ready to do box cards and I need some advice from a MABAS vet.
Nobody noticed I'm past 500 posts now. Heck, I didn't even notice.

    Same here Jack
I have been gathering MABAS information from Jay over the last few days also. Last email said he was feeling better.

Congratulations to our President for passing the 500 mark!
The Sargent of Arms should of noticed that and kept us advised.

Yes, daddy...I saw who was president...what were you people thinking?!?! Nah, I probably would have voted for him too, but I guess I do have to behave myself in here if you're in charge and yes..things are slow at work and i get bored, so i spend a lot of time surfing the net
I got an email from jay today, as a matter of fact. he said he's had a cold for 10 days and it's starting to go away, and they're building a new fire station. that's all he really had to say. other random nonsense, but you know him
well...back to being the merry mapmaker i must go...
p.s. dad..do we have a meeting tomorrow nite?
