    Default Commercial Building Firefighter Rescue

    I am setting up a FAST Team drill to simulate a downed firefighter in a commercial building. I plan on smoking the whole building. Does anyone have any other ideas or thoughts on making this drill succussful?

    www.firetimes.com has posted a great article detailing the study that Phoenix did to come up with the various stats on RIT activations (e.g. average air use, time to rescue, number of FFs needed to effect a rescue).

    Their drills were done in COMMERCIAL occupancies, so you may consider running yours just like they did. This would allow you to compare stats and numbers when you are done.

    The article is written by a PFD Ast Chief and describes, in detail, just how the study was performed. Here is the direct link:
