My name is a hold over from my SN on AOL in the late 90's when you only had just so many characters allowed so I had to squash Fire, Rescue and Diver (I like to scuba dive) along with my radio call # together.
Fire and Rescue was obviously from being a firefighter EMT and diver as I am a very enthusiastic scuba diver (scuba diving rocks), and now the number means nothing as I am no longer on the department that my call sign was from. I would have changed to my new email address and gotten a new FH.com SN but I didn't want to lose all my posts and Sr. member listing and such.
Did I mention I liked to scuba?.......Proud to be an American, Union Firefighter!

Captain: my rank....
Gonzo: my FD nickname...."The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

In our system, we're station 90, and the Chief is Car-90, Deputy is Car-190, etc...
I have at home
and Lexie, Dalmatian-490.
And yes, I have at various times actually put on their tags, "Dal-190" etc
Oscar is our parade dog, Lexie can go out in public too but she doesn't have the stamina anymore for parades. Jake has a habit of thinking small, yappy dogs are actually squirrels and therefore good for either eatin' or driving up trees, and while I don't disagree with him, he has to stay away from crowds because of it, and stays on a leash even when there's not a lot of people around. Misty is just pyschotic and she doesn't go anywhere except the vets...to bad 'cause she's a sweetheart, just scared to death of strangers.IACOJ Canine Officer
