    TRUMBULL COUNTY, OH - LODD

FirePage Ohio Dispatcher/Vol Liberty Twp FD LODD Death

At 1611 EST on Monday, February 23, 2004, Ed Conricote (FPO/D323) and 15 year veteran Volunteer FF for the Liberty Twp FD located in Trumbull County, Ohio died of a heart attack.

Ed had arrived on the scene of a car fire in a garage with extension, started pulling hose from one of the trucks and fell down. Two Liberty Twp PD officers helped him to his feet, Ed shrugged them off stating that he was okay. He collapsed again a few moments later. Firefighters performed CPR on Ed, called for an EMS rig for transport to St Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown. He was pronounced at the Emergemcy Room.

Ed has been with FirePage Ohio in one capacity or another for quite a long time. I don't know exactly how long. He has served as a dispatcher, dispatch coordinator, and most recently a Vice-President of FirePage Ohio.

NY FF KILLED (The Secret list)

Firefighter Bret E. Neff, 37, of Dryden, NY was killed yesterday when a piece of fire apparatus at a water tanker operation site pinned him between the apparatus and a folding tank. Initial reports are that the apparatus operator accidently released the emergency brake sending the rig rolling backwards, crushing Firefighter Neff.

If any additional information becomes available, we will post it at the "News/Updates" section of http://www.FirefighterCloseCalls.com.

As always, our deepest sympathies and sadness go out to the members of the Harford, NY Fire Department but most importantly, the family and friends of Bret Neff.

    CAROLINAS FIRE PAGE

In honor of all the Firefighters of FDNY, CFP has completed a special project that began more than two years ago.

We have completed and uploaded fire station maps of FDNY, broken down by Division and Battalion.

All fire stations are shown in accurate detail, in most cases to exact street level detail. All front line companies are shown as well as special units. Also included are volunteer companies, Fire Patrol units, FDNY Fire Zone, Boro Comm Offices and the new locations for Boro Commands.

To our knowledge, this information does not exist in this graphic format, on the internet or otherwise.

In addition, we have also prepared a special page entitled "9-11 Incident Log"

This is a timeline of the events of Sept 11, 2001 along with a log of our pages sent out that grim day. Included are "behind the scenes" administrative pages between dispatchers.

Be advised that our new site uses flash graphics extensively, so we recommend you having the latest free flash plug-in from Macromedia. Instructions for obtaining this small software are located on our entry page.
