    Default North Providence Squad

Anyone know what the deal is with the new North Providence Squad that is now getting dispatched? Is it manned and with how many and what are they running?

Squad 1 is the new heavy rescue that we are running. It has a full time assigned officer and the 3rd man from the ladder drives it UNLESS there is extra manpower and one of them drives it. A couple of times we have had it manned with an officer and 2, totally separate from the ladder, but with many IOD's at this point that will be few and far between. The plan is to run it tandem like Providence did when they first put S1H in servive with Engine 1. We are in a contract year and this will be a contractual issue.

    BTW: It is a 1986 Ford/E-One with a 14 foot box walk-in.

The Ford crapped the bed not too long after. They're now running a 91 Premfab.
