Me thinks the young lass is showing her age. Give those two thoughts from above a couple more years and then you'll be able to appreciate Bou's words.

I think you missed the point & run the risk of offending others that offer advice. Your age isn't your fault, but just try not to bring it to the profession!

I think Bou mean's if and when you get that nice big position in the future and have to deal with someone. Remember to treat them the way you wish to be treated and wanted to be treated when you were in there shoes. We all work hard and have to start somewhere to get ahead in life, so when your the big man on campus and the little man asks for some help...help them out...think I interpretted(SP?) that correctly?

As an Anna Maria alumni, I graduated in 2003 with a B.S. in Fire Science, I will tell you that it is a good program. Great operationally. Good courses on ICS, collective bargaining, education, and others. Pretty good instructors overall as well. Most of them front line firefighters and officers who bring it down to your level. It is a great mix in the classes of experienced guys, newer firefighteres, career, call, and guys with no experience. This is great for everyone because you can contribute different points of view.

The education will serve you well too.
