    ATLANTA, GA:

    5-5-5-5: Former MFA Member Robert (Bob) Styron passed away.

    It is with great sadness that the Metropolitan Fire Association of Atlanta Ga reports the passing of former MFA member and one time MFA Foreman, Robert (Bob) Styron, 68, on Sunday 29 February 2004. Confined to a wheelchair for most of his life, Bob was a Chemist by trade and held numerous patients relating to recycling uses for "fly ash" generated at coal burning power generation stations.

    Bob was the son of former Atlanta 5th Battalion Chief C.C. Styron Jr., who retired after 37 years with the AFD and grandson of Atlanta Department Chief C.C. Styron Sr. who led the AFD from 1939 to 1959. Bob's Brother Johnny Styron is a retired Assistant Chief from the DeKalb County Emergency Medical Service.

    A memorial Service will be held on Sunday 7 March 2004 at the "Our Special Place" 108 Arnold Mill Rd. Olde Towne Woodstock, Georgia (770) 591-7080. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Robert Styron's name to the Shepherd Spinal Center 2020 Peachtree Road Atlanta, GA 30309 Phone 404-352-2020.
