The City of Richmondís Department of Fire and Emergency Services seeks an experienced and proven individual to head its Division of Administration and Budget. This critical position requires an innovative leader with extensive people skills and considerable administrative and management experience. S/he must be a problem solver, dynamic, customer focused and able to administer a multi-tasked division.

Major responsibilities include the management and oversight of departmental budgeting, purchasing, accounting and financial reporting activities; the human resources functions; special projects and programs, general administration and other senior administrative responsibilities.

Minimum requirements include an appropriate Bachelors Degree, at least ten years experience in the management of a senior administrative organization and strong organizational and personnel management skills. The successful candidate will have an appropriate Masters Degree with extensive public sector experience and be a strong communicator with the ability to inspire and maintain staff commitment in order to achieve the long-term vision for the department.

This position is unclassified and serves at the will of the Chief of Fire. City residency within one year is required. Salary Range is $75,561 - $122,773. This position is open until filled.
