    Default Motor Question

Currently Detroit is the only diesel manufacture that offers a 500hp engine due to emmisions restrictions that took effect Jan 1 '04. Anyone have insite on when Cummins or Cat are due to have their engines? Were about to sign on a new Pumper/Tanker and in limbo in getting the engine we want.

Dont apparatus makers put the Cat C-15 and C-13 into their rigs?
Or do they just offer the C-9 (400hp)?
The C-13 goes to 505hp and the C-15 to 550hp.

As for cummins I know that their ISX makes up to 565hp and the ISM is up to 450 but unknown if they put the ISX in fire apparatus.
We got an ISM 450 in our new engine hauls *** and an ISM 400 in our quint hasnt skipped a beat
