FYI.......... I have learned that an instructor for one of the classes collapsed in the classroom today during a break from the class. CPR was initiated and Security from BGSU (could be police also. Not sure which) arrived with an AED and it indicated a shock. When they shocked him, they got a pulse back. Apparently he was awake and talking when they were taking him away. Glad to hear the AED worked and it just goes to show how much they are needed in public places.
This was not a hands on class. This was a strictly classroom course dealing with "What's new in the fire service" type stuff.
Hope you're back to work soon, Chief.
Am I allowed to post a name??????? Can any of you HIPAA guru's tell me?

Well if I had to pick a place to have a SCA, a room full of Firefighter/EMTs would be pretty close to the top of my list!
Get well soon Brother.Last edited by WTFD10; 03-14-2004 at 08:04 PM.

THESE are the kinds of stories we need to hear about! It's awful to go through stuff like this, but a more favorable outcome could not be had. Best of luck to our brother.
