We are never truly safe in any aspect of doing this job. It doesn't matter if it is a structure fire, car accident, medical emergency, or hazardous material incident. We must use our training to the best of our ability, and always watch for any indicator of possible trouble. But even then we are not really safe until we are safely back in quarters. I was deeply upset to read another brother injured during fire ground operations. I would like to send my respect to the family and hope they know that all firefighters are behind them.

May He Rest In Peace
