    Default Led Lights????`

I am sure this has been discussed, but I am wanting to know something... I drive a 2001 dodge neon right now and I plan on getting strobes, and taillights flashers and wigwags , I am debating on a light for the interior front. I am trying to decide between the Talon or the Slimlighter.... what different patterns do each of them have, and which one would look best in a dodge neon? also whats a good light for the back inside of my car? It will be about 6-8 months before I am able to run lights, but might as well start saving now and decide what I want. Thanks for ya'alls help..

    thanks

Use the search function of the forums. Search for "LED" and I'm sure you will find the answer to that and many other questions concerning LEDs and other lights.........

    Default First off....

...check with your Chief and/or local Police to make sure all that stuff is legal. You're talking about spending a lot of money on stuff that may not even do you any good, so decide on what you might gain from adding all that stuff to your neon and if you have enough alternator under the hood to push it all before you spend all that money. The law in my state (New York) states that the blue light (which is what volunteer firefighters have) is only a courtesy light, no one HAS to pull over for you. In fact they rarely even pull over for Fire Trucks or Ambulances with all the bells and whistles screaming. In NY only those with permission from the Chief can even have the standard blue light for most volunteer firefighters. Most of the things you mentioned are only, for the most part, allowed on the private vehicle of the Chief Officers up here. As far as the interior front light, that would be where I'd start rather than the other stuff if it's legal. I had a small light on my roof at one time, did me no good at all. I switched to a dash light and it helped some. I've seen a couple LED's and they seem to be pretty effective and they usually have anywhere from 10 to 35 different flash patterns. Just think about this, will all those lights make you a better firefighter? Probably not. Look at the threads on here for "What's in your bunker gear?" and think about putting some of that money towards that....or leather bunker boots, it's like wearing sneakers into the fire.

You know that thing inside your helmet? Use it wisely and you'll be just fine.

    HAHAHAHAHA. Nice.

I'll answer the question and we can just not go any further. Get the Talon, hands down, 300%, absolute. Trust me.

    Default LEDs..

#1. Drive a Honda, hands down.

    #2. I wouldnt mess with your vehicle's
wiring. If you really, really must get
some emergency lighting for a POV, get
a "dash master" or something that will
    plug into your cig. adapter.

#3. I like LEDs since they draw low
amps from your vehicle's elec. system.

PS- I do NOt have any lights on my POV,
    just giving my 2 cents.

As another unfortunate Neon owner (it's in the shop as we speak) my advice is to save up for a new car. I'll second the Honda advice (I borrowed my wifes today to get to work).
