Starting a thread on something that's been bashed about thoroughly on another thread is not logical.

    Cool Straight Answer................

Historically, Union Labor has always been part of the Democratic Party's strength. In turn, business has always supported the Republicans. I'm a registered Republican, because Maryland requires you to be a registered something in order to vote in Primary Elections. Having said that, I DO NOT vote for someone simply because they are Republican, I vote for the person that will do the best job BASED ON WHAT I KNOW ABOUT THE CANDIDATE. What little I know about Kerry has me voting for Bush at this time. Do I think Bush is the best man for the job? No, just the better of the two options.

How can the IAFF say that they support Kerry, when its clear that not that many Firefighters support him at all? I know I turn 18 in August and I'm voting for Bush in November!

mustang, there are a few threads on here that are related to Kerry and the IAFF. You will find a bunch of FF's that DO support Kerry. Haven't seen a poll on fh.com anywhere that would lead me to think there is FF majority either way.

I've created a poll in the Off-duty discussion. Go and vote for who YOU are for. The IAFF doesn't speak for every fireman.
