but the thing is that a pet rock could have been in office in the 90's and you woulda had a good job. The fact is he scr%$#d the pooch on defense so now we're in the spot we're in. If Kerry is elected again we will be in the same place for defense and we will be popped again. But he won't defend us the way Bush would.

Y'all thought gas prices are bad now? John Kerry wants to raise the gas tax another $.50/gal. gee that 1.80/gal I just paid is now 2.30 Oh yeah and OPEC is slowing production so now that makes it 2.60/gal. Who do you think this will affect the most? hmmm maybe the middle class?? Those people that can afford a decent car/ truck right now and then get taxed out of it when they go to fill up after November if Kerry gets in. Oh yeah Kerry really supports the middle class.

My dear friend from Maryland sums it up nicely. The true vote will come in November. We can only hope that George W Bush is re-elected. Some will say that you can trust no politician....but I disagree. I trust George Bush with my life and the life of my families. I would not trust Kerry to take out the trash! He is all smoke and mirrors and if he were to win the election.....I fear his "support" for the fire service will not be there.

Unfortunately we do not elect the President by popular vote...

Ok I'm getting tired of the liberal dribble about the economy. Some facts for you

We are at 5% unemployment. This is lower than the averages for the last 40 years

There have been 80,000 jobs created in March. More than any month during the Clinton Administration.

The last year of the Clinton Administration The NASDAQ fell 40%. It is now back almost to where it was.

    Think about it.

Most politicians count on a voting block that does not think in-depth about issues and are easily led. With the Republicans not exactly fighting back against these statements, well - it doesn't help.

As for "Fat Boy" - Ted Kennedy - you basically can't trust a thing that comes out of his mouth. I cannot figure out why people in this state keep electing him to the senate. He's been there for over 40 years and what has he accomplished?

A friend just sent me this e-mail. I think it wraps it all up.

    Subject: To be a Democrat...............

    1) You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.

    2) You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.

    3) . You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than U.S. nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Chinese and North Korean communists.

    4) . You have to believe that there was no art before Federal funding.

    5) . You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical documented changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV's.

    6) You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being homosexual is natural.

    7) . You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.

    8) . You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.

    9) . You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but loony activists who have never been outside of San Francisco do.

    10) .You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.

    11) . You have to believe that the military, not corrupt politicians start wars.

    12) . You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.

    13) . You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.

    14) . You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, Gen. Robert E. Lee, and Thomas Edison.

    15) . You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.

    16) . You have to believe that Hillary Clinton is normal and is a very nice person.

    17) . You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.

    18) . You have to believe conservatives telling the truth belong in jail, but a liar and a sex offender belonged in the White House.

    19) . You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag, transvestites, and bestiality should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal

    20) . You have to believe that illegal Democratic Party funding by the Chinese government is somehow in the best interest to the United States.

    21) . You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right wing conspiracy.

    Cool Now This............................

My esteemed colleague, Tillerman25, mentioned Chappaquiddick. (sp?) And since he brought it up, I'll add this: Once upon a time, there was a place called 3 Mile Island. At the Island, there was a Nuclear Power Plant. One day, something went wrong at the power plant and Philly almost went up in a mushroom cloud. Hundreds of thousands of people were real mad about this, and it cost a fortune to fix. The Democrats blamed the Republicans and cried over the dangers of Radiation. The same Democrats were not around when one of their leaders lost control of his car and plunged off a bridge at Chappaquiddick, killing his Female passenger, whom, reportedly, was not known to any of his family, including his wife. My Point?? More people died at Chappaquiddick than at Three Mile Island.

John Kerry walks into a bar full of horses. He sits down at the bar. A horse next to him asks, "Hey, buddy, why the long face?"

you gotta love that Kerry sits there and says I'm not going to question the President's military service and then 2 sentences later he does it. An interview on ABC earlier this week

You definately are a Kerry supporter. I don't want to go to some country and then you write whoever turns and runs is my enemy. Kinda like I voted for it before I voted against it.

    Cool Wow...........................

What's really scary is that three people who registered a response in the poll said that they would vote for Nader. We desperately need LESS enviromental BS, not more. Wingnuts like Nader are responsible for the high gas prices, and you would actually vote for them? Change is needed NOW in America, but not Nader's idea of change.

Thanks to "wingnuts" like Nader, thousands are alive today that would otherwise be dead. And to blame him for high gas prices is totally off the mark.

This statement is truly debatable. The corvair wasn't killing them off that quickly, and by it's end was a sweet handling little car. Has nader really accomplished anything else of note? (well yes, to answer my own question. He sucked some of the vote away from Igore, and that was a good thing)

A strong case could be made that overzealous consumer advocates have the opposite effect. The medical industry is a good example of this. Why start a private practice if the your liability insurance cost will run you back out of business? I could go on, but I won't at this time.

Can we think of any LODD (wild land) due to environmental policies?

#2. And to blame him for high gas prices is totally off the mark.
I think HWOODS was lumping the enviro whacko's that inhabit the Green party with Nader, since he's their chief, their sultan of the spotted owl, so to speak. But, yes, Dorothy, the enviro left, by keeping most of our petro needs outside of the US, removes control of our energy destiny, so to speak. Again, their are a lot of examples, too short time and space.

1)The world is a much safer place without Sadam Hussain in control of Iraq, but the question is who is in control of Iraq?
2)Yes, our glorious president did have a plan to go to Iraq, he just did not have a plan for ocupation. But acording to everyone he is a good leader. If the man had a plan for occupation Where is it????Our troops are over there getting shot at and killed. Let us not forget about them.
3)Thinking about our troops, lets not forget we still have troops in Afganistan. Searching for Osma Bin Ladin.
4)I support our troops 100%, but I can not vote for President Bush. and yes I remember those Americans who were murderd on 911.
