Yesterday I attended the funneral in Pitsburgh and was very touched by the people's response. As we came along the river towards Oakland several workers at a sand and gravel company caught our eye, they were standing alone or with groups of fellow workers all with hard hats off and across their hearts, as we continued along into Oakland people stood with there hands across their hearts and gave a slight wave of hand as we passed, the emotion of the people standing along the street as the trucks passed by was amazing. The Pittsburgh Fire Dept. did a excellent job of keeping everything organized. The service was heart touching, As firemen we always try to hide our emotions, but it was impossible to not to shed a tear. My condoleces go to the family of both men.
