What are some of the special tools used to slow the flow of sprinklers?
We had a sprinkler training last night and we only used wedges and a tool used to slow the flow. We also heard about using a potato, we tried it, the results were exploding literally. Maybe it was just the brand of potato!
Any one have any other ways to shut the water off.
And for ya smart @sses!!! LOL the shut off valve is broken.

Sprinkler tongs would be helpful.

If it is a zoned system, you can locate the zone valve and shut it off.
If not, it's time for the probies to play finger in the dike.

If it's a big enough problem, call the water department to turn it off at the street.

Probies!
I always carry a couple of wedges- not because I ever intend to use them. But when I tell a probie to chock a sprinkler, and he tells me he doesn't have any wedges, I hand him mine. Problem solved!
