GREATER ALARM STRUCTURE FIRE:


On Friday, March 26, 2004, at 1129 hours (11:29 a.m.), twelve companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, three Battalion Officer Command Teams, one Battalion EMS Supervisor, two Los Angeles County Fire Companies, and two LAFD Rescue Ambulances, under the direction of Battalion Commander Craig Fry, responded to a Greater Alarm Structure Fire at 7373 West Sunset Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills West area. First units on the scene reported a one-story, 75í x 100í restaurant under construction, well involved with fire. Firefighters using heavy stream appliance and handlines aggressively attacked the fire confining it to the well involved structure and extinguished the fire in seventeen minutes. An adjacent structure sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is listed as under investigation. Fire damage is estimated at $750,000, structure only.
