STLFN: ST ANN, MO. (ST. LOUIS COUNTY) Community FPD has a 2nd Alarm for an apartment fire at 3737 Ashby Rd. They have a fire in a high-rise apartment building. They are requesting an additional 3 EMS Units. /STL819. 1:01a.m.

At around 2329 hrs, Bristol Fire & Rescue was dispatched near the corner of Hwy 's 45 & Hwy V just south of Bristol. The fire was then reported in the 19100 blk of 116th St. First report's indicated dispatch couldn't tell if it was a house or a barn that was on fire, turned out it was a house. First rig on scene reported the house was almost completely down. MABAS Box 52-62; tanker box was pulled.Rehab was also called Fire Dept's on scene were;

LOS ANGELES, CA:
GREATER ALARM STRUCTURE FIRE:


On Friday, April 02, 2004 at 0428 Hours (4:28 AM PST) eleven Companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, two LAFD Rescue Ambulances and two Battalion Officer Command Teams under the direction of Assistant Chief Michael Fulmis responded to a Greater Alarm Structure Fire at 1101 South Vermont Avenue in Koreatown. The first Company on scene reported heavy smoke showing from a first floor dance studio in a two-story strip mall. Firefighters forced entry and navigated thick smoke to discover a stubborn fire extending from a storeroom area to upholstered furnishings. A tenacious and well-coordinated interior assault with handlines brought the fire under control in just 38 minutes. There were no injuries. Loss to “Jang Dancing Studio” is estimated at $80,000 ($40,000 structure & $40,000 contents). The cause of the blaze remains under active investigation.
