    Memorial Service for Murdered EMS Members to be Held April 8

    A joint memorial and funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., central daylight time, Thursday, April 8, 2004, for Paramedic
    Katherine Malone and Emergency Medical Technician Tye Brown, both members of Kansas City, MO Local I-34.

    Sister Malone and Brother Brown were murdered while on duty Saturday morning at their station in Edwardsville, Kansas. The joint memorial and funeral service will be at the Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 North 103 Terrace, Kansas City, Kansas 66109.

    Funeral Information:
    All uniformed personnel (fire and EMS) must be at the church by 9:00am (Central Time) on Thursday April 8, 2004 to take part in the funeral.

    Batt. 27 reports, Transmit the All - Hands. We have a fire in the walls on the 2nd. floor of a 6 story occupied multiple dwelling. We have 2 - lines stretched & in operation. Fire's in Apt. 2 "frank" on the 2nd. floor. Primary search is negative. Still Doubtful.

    Batt. 27: Box 3554, Probably Will Hold at this time.

    Division 6: Box 3554, All primary & secondary searches are negative thru out the bldg. Fire is UnderControl. Division 6 is 10 - 8, Batt. 27 is the Incident Commander.
