GREATER ALARM STRUCTURE FIRE:


On Friday, April 16, 2004, at 0302 hours (3:02 a.m.) eight companies of Los Angeles Firefighters, two Battalion Command Officer Teams, two LAFD Rescue Ambulances and other support units, under the direction of Battalion Commander Christopher Logan, responded to a Greater Alarm Structure Fire at 3960 N. Eagle Rock Boulevard in the Eagle Rock area. First units on the scene reported a public storage facility with six-storage units will involved. Firefighters using forcible entry tools and handlines aggressively attacked the fire and extinguished it in eighteen minutes. The fire was confined to the six units of “Public Storage” one hundred-unit complex. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is listed as incendiary. Fire damage is estimated at $18,000. ($8,000 to structure and $10,000 to contents).
