    Question The new style Ny'ers

    I recently purchased a new N5A from thefirestore.com and it’s extremely light compared to my old one. Does anyone know what changes have been made? How do you guys like the new ones?

    I've also heard this from a number of guys. I've heard they re-engineered their impact cap and the helmet now sits lower than the other post 1985 helmets. It is closer to the feel of Pre-1985 lids.

    I know a guy with a new one...I'll ask him what he noticed about the new one.

    Most likely Cairns had to catch up with the only other true leather helmet in the Phenix TL2 which is certainly lighter and lower sitting than the previous Cairns N5A.
