Many of you who attended the NFA in the early years may remember Anne (Currier) Fabyan who was one of the early Deputy Superintendants. After leaving the NFA, Anne became a Chief Officer with the Miami Dade Department and later returned to the NFA as a member of the Adjunct Faculty and course developer.
Anne lost her long battle with cancer this past Friday morning at her home in FL. She had been fighting the reoccurance of this disease for the last two years.
God put a lot of fight in that little body of hers. Those of us who had the honor and pleasure to work with her over the years, know that you never had to quess what she thought or where she stood on any matter. She applied this same determination to her fight against cancer.
"Mom" will be missed by many in the fire service.
There will be no formal service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to teh American Cancer Society. Cards and notes can be send to : Dan Fabyan, 6815 South A1A Highway, Melbourne Beach, FL 32951
