About LinkBacksA few days ago I heard that a Hotshot from one of the southern states was killed crossing the interstate at night. I think they were in Florida, and had just come off a fire when they went to look for another crew and several shots got hit on the interstate, and one was killed. Anyone know anything about this?

Midewin Interagency Hotshot Crew
Midewin Interagency Hotshot crew report states that while a crew was returning from the East Fork Fire in the Apalachicola National Forest in Flordia, On 24 April 04 in West Memphis Arkansas, Al Toepke , 30 , was killed and Vance Hazelton, 30 ,was seriously injuried in an accident that is under investigation by local authorities and the USFS .
