Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it on a search.
Does anyone have any opinions and or pictures of a GMC 5500 crew cab chassis? I saw a couple pics on the GMC website, but they didn't have any fire trucks with the crew cab that I could find. Let me know any good or bad things.........

KME did have one or two in their program truck or immediate delivery section, just to see what one looks like. I believe one was a top mount.

on the ferrara website ( www.ferrarafire.com ) they have several GMC medium duty trucks that are in production and are on the new deliveries page, but that was the only crew cab I could find.

How come you never see any trucks built on the heavy duty ford chassis. IE the 750 650

Pure and simple Cost, The F650 and F750 are very expensive for what you get, and you don't even want to look at the cost of a 4X4 conversion on one of those. Big Coin. for the same $ most can get into Intersmashable or Frieghtgrinder.Originally posted by nwadler
