I am looking for a short subject film made around 1948 called "Going to Blazes". I saw it on American Movie Classics about a year ago. I wrote them but I never heard back. This movie tells what the life of a firefighter was like in 1948. Great film for public education. It has great scene of actual fires in LA right after WW II. Let me know if any of you have it.

I found the movie on a public domain archive site but I'll be damned if I can find the link at the moment.
I don't have time at the moment to look, but I know it's out there and it's a FREE download for non-commercial use. I think it's a great film and it really illustrates how little has changed in our job (and the fire problem) in almost 60 years. . .ullrichk
