EMA combined with several other positions.
I hope I am putting this in the correct Forum, Lord knows I don't want to get chastized.
Just recently, our EMA director retired leaving a slot that surely needs filled. The Politicians are debating over joining the EMA director job with the 911 director and the Fire Coordinator's job. Knee jerk reaction is this is bogus and makes me want to voice my opinion VERY loudly. The politicians are influenced by the Chief of Police that came from a different state that boasts that he was EMA, 911, Fire Coordinator, Fire Chief and Police Chief all in one...Personally, I can't see how you could be effective in any position being spread out so thin. I'd like ya'll thoughts and experience before making judgement.
Can you do all these jobs and be efficient in any of them?YGBSM!
