    I went.

The AEV dealer was quite friendly after buying 2 ambulances.

For about 45 minutes - 60 minutes on Friday, some father kept letting his runts climb all over the apparatus and playing with the horns and the air horn. Thank god he went to the other building.

    STM,
Was that pic taken from Sutphen's demo tiller ladder? I saw that thing when I was driving to medic class on the pike. It was parked in one of the pulloffs. If I coulda done it safely without creating a pileup, I woulda stopped to take a look at it right then and there.

I have lost my mind..has anyone seen it? it's not worth much..but it's mine

No dems, that was taken from the Metz aerial. Compared to the Stuphen the Metz is like strapping on a jet pack! On the way down the operator dragged us through the tree by accident( i hope).

This photo was taken from a Stuphen truck, but it was not a tiller. We got to watch the whole parade from up here. The lady in the middle would jump everytime the wind got us rocking and there is one of those explorers that kept popping up!LOL, my camera, Stuphen guy takeing the pic waiting for the parade.

    That Metz cranks!

For a pure "rescue" ladder, it's hard to beat them. Just a bit unconventional for America and big $$$ since they have to ship the U.S. chassis to Europe for mounting at the Metz factory...American's don't like the Volvos, and Metz doesn't want to trust some shop in the U.S. mounting them.

BTW, I can guarantee I'm in the parade pic...you'll just have to put it under a really good microscope to find the spots. Swung by for a few hours before I drove into my office for the afternoon.

....I had to sneak down with Gramps

Is that Warehouse Point's tower way in the back in the parade? I know they were up there with it because Windsor Locks's tower was toned automatically as a replacement for Warehouse Point.

Talk about "Telegraph, Telephone, Tell a Fireman"...I was out of town for that fire (small kitchen fire). Someone from Blue Hills calls me to tell me to get ready because Warehouse Point got toned out for a fire. He heard it from someone in Bloomfield Center who heard it from someone in Warehouse Point (he was standing by their truck). I then informed him that it was my department's fire. Nice that I got third/fourth hand info about my own call.

I was at the show on Friday, and frankly I wasn't impressed at all. The rigs were nice, but there were less vendors there, and those who were there really didn't have too many "show specials". I went with money to burn for "toys and stuff", and I barely "singed" it

I used to spend alot of money of whacker crap and other toys but I didnt this year. At the Lynnfield muster I only bought a Carbon T extingusher. At this show the only thing in those two bags was a Blue spruce tree from the state foresty dept.,a smokey bear key chain and a key chain from the CT fire academy. And alot of pamphlets on different airpacks and the on spot tire chains. The only thing I acuteally "bought" was the Female FF calender...........cause it was for charity......

Anyone else notice that over the last 3 years all the little and big guys are selling the same stuff as the guy next to him and its all at galls prices anyway.......no show specials like gonzo said?

Bound Tree had some pretty good deals on it's stair chairs and stretchers.

We only spent around 12,000 on that stuff
