If you guys looked int he dictionary under "fire fighter", Chirs Trumpf's picture would be there. He was the quintessential fire fighter with a love for life, family and friends that put most of us to shame. We lost a good one.
I knew Chris for many years. We played softball together many times. I also investigated a basketfull of fires where Chris was on the job. Even in his last days on duty, he was helpful and cheerful. He was also fearless. I remember one job where he pulled a 9 month pregnant woman out of a third floor windown and down a ground ladder at a house fire. Afterwards, he didn't even wat to talk about it. he just did it.
I was not his closest friend, but I am a better person for having known him. Many of the guys who lived with Chris every day and loved him like a brother are hurting today. Please pray for Chirs' family and the brothers at the Morristown FD as you read about Chris.

Thanks for the post George. Ya know, sometimes the bravest among us...are those who face insurmountable odds. They are truly the heroes.
God bless our brother and his family. May they find comfort in knowing that his fellow firefighters can find cause to celebrate his life and the time spent with them.

Our local donated money to the leukemeia foundation. It is a disease that kills way too many people in the prime of their lives. Best wishes to Firefighter Trumpf's family, friends and fellow firefighters.
