    Question Fire Inspection Software

I'm just wondering what type of fire inspection software everyone uses and if they're happy with it. Our department is looking into moving into the 21st century and doing away with our pre-historic paper file system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Default Fire Inspection Software

We are using a fire inspection software packaged call Emergency Software Products, Inc. The company is based in NJ. They sell the software two ways. Pre-packaged version or customized version and they can also put your state fire code on line.

We have been using the software for the past 15 years.

    Default Inspection software

If you can attend a large fire conference, stop by all the software sellers! A less costly search method is internet search Google or Yahoo. There are several vendors out there, some are costly, and not very flexible. Others have various levels of software, and are willing to be flexible in order to get a new account! Try looking in Firehouse and Fire Engineering mags for advertizers, especially in the back sections. My department uses a customized program that interfaces with NFIRS, but it cost us quite a few clams!! Good for you and your department, thinking about "updating" and all that.
