I was sent this picture a few months ago so that it could be posted here on fh.com. However, it got lost in the shuffle of jobs that come across my desk every day. None-the-less, here it is.
It looks like a simple enough picture. A two-man attack team getting ready to go. An officer, complete with white shirt, standing at the door ready to send them. It looks like a little bit of white smoke showing above the building.

However, that's not the entire picture.
So, what exactly is this guy doing off to the left, and why is he providing cover for the attack team????
Comments, ideas? Anyone know the realy story??"No one ever called the Fire Department for doing something smart..."

He's a senile Fire Police veteran and no one has the heart to ask him to stop carrying the gun. They just insist he keeps the bullet in his shirt pocket.

Either he is going to shoot the Officer for failure to wear the proper PPE (some places are serious about SOP violations), or its a Police Raid and the have gassed the house and are going to use the line to "subdue" the targets.....

I think he's going to ventilate using the windows, but, the savy ol' crusty he is... he's waiting for the attack team to get into position.

What is the story behind this picture?
Without context, it is presumptuous for anybody to make any comment regarding what's going on here.

I am not 100% sure. The original photo was e-mailed to me so that I could resize it and post it (I work with a lot of different types of graphics). I not even 100% sure who e-mailed it to me (it was months ago), and can only assume that they will be along eventually to tell us all the interesting story behind the photo (they couldn't get it posted, so I said I would for them).Originally posted by jaybird210

I am just as interested as everyone else to learn more about it.
Anyone else have this close of a 'relationship' with their local PD?"No one ever called the Fire Department for doing something smart..."
