i figured i would try this question in here first and see what i can get....
i am looking for somebody that is willing to chat for a spell and answer some questions that myself and now couple other FF's have about FDNY. i think it would be easier to do something like this using a instant chat program such as AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, something like that and i suppose email would be the next best way.
We are curious about a few things in FDNY and how things operate, nothing to dramatic so anybody willing to help out couple Vollies down here in PA would be great! Thanks Dave

Find a copy of the book FDNY: An Operational Reference, by James Griffiths. You can't beat the info contained within!
I am not on the job FDNY, just a buff, but you can PM me here and I will see if I can answer your questions."Loyalty Above all Else. Except Honor."

dwwm2c4,
I am on the job and I'll try to answer any question you might have. Although Buffs are many times a better source of info as they know more about a wide varriety of subjects accross the city whereas most firemen know more about thier own Division or Boro.
Anyhow shoot.
