Default Birth announcements: Two new baby jakes!

I am very proud to announce the birth of my new baby, Leslie Michelle Jeffiers. Leslie arrived at 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, weighing seven pounds and twelve ounces and stretched out to 19 1/2" long.

Mommy is fine, Daddy is ecstatic, and big sister Brianna is acting like any very excited five-year-old would.

    But wait, there's more...

Just minutes after things were squared away with our delivery, in walks the chief's daughter (the wife of a fellow assistant chief), in active labor. Ten hours later, Hunter Lee Burchett was born, tipping the scales at eight pounds, two ounces and (I believe) 21 inches long. They are home now too, and all doing well.

Hunter & Leslie will be online at the "Babies Online" link on www.kdmc.com in a few days. Just select July 1 for the birth date. Leslie has commandeered my brother's web site at www.riverghost.com

Two assistant chiefs with two beautiful healthy babies born on one day. You can't beat that!

NEAT! sums it up. Cheffie has a point, Nashville, you listenin'? Write a Song. And, being a modest person who never mentions anything like this, I won't tell you that my youngest Daughter and Son in Law welcomed their son into this world last Saturday. Future Firefighter Ryan Daniel O'Connor is our Tenth Grandchild, and is expected to follow his Parents, Older Sister and Brother, and a whole bunch of other family members, into the Fire Service. If so, he will be the 42nd Firefighter in our family over 5 generations. Proud? Damn Right!

CONGRAGULATIONS DAD - AND MOM TOO OF COURSE!!!!!

That goes for both families. I wonder though, when they grow up: which one is going to be Chief?
