It was really really hot this day....we drilled for about three hours, and decided we needed to cool down. Besides, someone had to test the new porta-tank!

4th try...posting pics on FH.com is real pain in the hind end, never have I gotten it to work right the first time.

When posting questions, polls or asking for others to do something, like posting pics, it is generally good form for the one who starts the thread to go first.

well I don't have one with all the guys....but I do have one with all the "future" girls!! (thanks to me they all wanna me firefighters)

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, 'It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than to be selfish and worry about my liver.'

OK, so I've tried everything to embed a photo in the body of my text, but it just does not seem to want to work. All I get is a little box with a red 'X' inside. ARRRGGGGGGH!!!
So, I'll just have to put in a URL, and you'll have to follow it to the picture.

    http://tinyurl.com/4lrq2

Anyway, this is a picture of a thorn between 2 roses; my Deputy on the left, and my Chief on my right. I'd just had my head shaved to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, in support of 2 of my FD brothers who were being treated for Lymphoma.

Enjoy, and if someone could tell my how the heck I can get photos embedded, I'd really appreciate it!!

    Cheers

    Default Picture Posting, 101

    Dicky-

You have to start by running your picture through an image-editing software. Gotta size it down so FH will accept it. I use a cheapy program that came with my scanner works great. i load the picture, and first change the resolution (dpi, or pixels). Kncok it down to 72 dpi (most monitors can't support higher resolution than that). Then see how big the file is; FH won't let you upload anything bigger than 90000 bytes. If the picture is still too big, make it physically smaller. Then save the picture to someplace where you'll remember where you put it (I always put mine ont he desktop). Then, post here, and near the bottom of the dialog box is a section titled, "Attach File." Click on that, and then click on your picture.

    Viola! Uploaded pic.

    Carry on.
