    Default Pumper Purchase Progress...

How's that for a tongue twister?

Sandoval FPD sent out bids for their pumper yesterday. Bids went to:

    Crimson
    E-One
    Rosenbauer
    Pierce
    Seagrave
    American LaFrance
    Alexis
    Ferrara
    Smeal
    HME

Deadline to return them is 8-31.

Anyone else in the process of buying a truck or just recently recieve one?

Redhat, I don't know if you realize how much work it is to go over 10 bids when they come in, but be prepared for a LONGGGGGGG couple of days. 3 or 4 of them will probably get thrown out right away, if you're lucky a couple of them won't bid it, but the rest will be tough to compare and make sure they meet your specs. Good Luck.

I'm expecting two or three to not even bid it. Then, I expect to throw out about 3-5 just because of the price. For example, I expect LaFrance & Pierce to blow our budget out of the water. Seagrave also, if they bid.

We will likely only review about four at the most. That still makes for a lot of papers to look over, but it's worth it when making such an investment.
