Yet Another Newbie...

Good evening all!

My name is Charles "Chuck" Colfax.

I am a Volunteer Firefighter from Sleepy Hollow, New York;
to be more specific; E85, Rescue Hose Company #1, Sleepy Hollow Fire Department.

I am also a NYS EMT-B with the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps.

I have been involved with the Fire Department for 3 years and with the Ambulance Corps for about a year and a half.

We are 100% Volunteer on both the Fire and EMS sides.

Fire Department-wise, we have 3 Class A pumpers, a Medium Rescue and a 95' Tower Ladder.

EMS-wise, we run 2 BLS Ambulances and a BLS Fly Car.

I am currently actively pursuing a new career in the Fire/EMS field and have been concentrating my search in the MD, VA, NC area.

Before making the life decision to pursue a Fire/EMS career, I spent 10 years working in Print Production in the Advertising and Magazine business in NYC.

Currently, I am a Supervisor with the NYSDOT H.E.L.P Truck program in order to keep paying the rent...

Finally, when I have any spare time left, I am usually building, fixing or re-building one of several Jeeps...

Welcome to the forums from a neighbor. I volunteer with a fire dept. outside Buffalo. Small dept. We like our Jeeps too. My husband the asst. chief and his brother and sister in law all have one. Chief was a little upset he got a Ford chief's truck. I'm also an EMT since last Dec. Any questions are always welcome. You get plenty of views here.
