anyone with a bit of advice...
it is my biggest goal in life to make it in the FDNY...
does anyone have more information than what the internet can give me...
it gives me the basic jist of it...
and the firefighters at my company don't understand what it's like up there considering we only get about 4-6 calls a week...
just wondering if anyone can give me more information...
i know it is hard and very demanding...expecially since i am a woman...
thank you in advance for your help...

Get college credits.
Get military service time.
Move there to get residency credits.
Take a test. (every 2 years?)
Do very well on the test.
Wait.
Take physical and psychological.
Wait.
Hope and pray.
Wait.
There are a few thousand trying for about 300 positions a year. You have as good a chance as anyone, but it takes time and effort."This thread is being closed as it is off-topic and not related to the fire industry." - Isn't that what the Off Duty forum was for?
