I just finished reading the article " No... It's not too late." by Chief Goldfeder concerning this years rememberance of 9/11. I'm wondering how other departments are going to remember 9/11 and what if any activities your departments have planned. Any ideas that you can share would be appreciated. Stay safe.

Our department typically just says a few words. Other than that there is no "Official" Rememberance

The last two years, our department has participated in a ceremony at a neighboring department which has a large memorial in front of one of their stations. Haven't heard about this year yet, but our EMS coordinator's a Captain at that department and he'll be doing out drill next week, so we'll probably hear then.Chris Gaylord

We will be displaying our FDNY 9-11 Memorial, “A Cross for a Brother”, from Sept 8 (12 noon) thru Sept 14 (5pm).
This is a 1 acre memorial that will have 1 cross displayed for every firefighter killed on Sept 11, 2001. Each cross has a nameplate with the name of a firefighter killed that day & their assignment. Please come & walk among the names & pay tribute to the FDNY – 343.

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
