Anyone out there interested in learning "something completely different"? A Florida cryonics organization is looking for EMS people to help PART TIME in field work. This requires a set of skills to rescue someone, after legal death, to be cryogenically frozen. Yes, seriously. The skills are similar to resuscitation medicine because the basic idea is to prevent brain damage. You induce hypothermia, use cardiopulmonary support and a set of special meds. Since it is all postmortem there is no liability. The work is very intermittent, but the organization pays for training. You could easily do this in addition to regular work, on a couple days off. This would suit someone who likes to get into unusual topics which most people don't know about. Contact me if you're interested. charles@platt.us
