I noticed no one has posted any news about the Sept. class in about a week, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything. The last i heard was september was most likely out, and that i had 3 months to get in shape for december. my list number is 177.
Waiting patiently

Damn,
your at 177, and were told September is definitely out? I wouldn't count on that until Sept 13 comes and goes as it seems that guys are getting called last minute.
A friend on the department told me this next class was going to be 290, which seems awfully high to hit, without going deeper on our list.
Wish I had more concrete info... At least you know you're due up soon.
waiting here in 2363 land...

Last Thursday, I was told by my investigator that they had stopped at 104 for the new list for September. I am #123 and was told I had a slim chance because they wouldn't go much past 104. Then on Saturday, I received a letter inviting me to the September class. So, either the investigators are not well informed or in a single day they went much higher up on the list. Or possibly, I received that letter by mistake. That is all I know . . .

**congrats will51**
I think the staff at CI is trained not to give out opinionated information. If they "think" you will make it into a class, they will say they don't know, and if they "don't know" if you'll make it into a class, they say you won't. Guess they get flooded with calls, and since this is a career in such high demand, the last thing they wanna do is get anyone's hopes up, especially with the uncertainties in NYC's hiring needs.

Go here engine2662 because it is too long to explain.
www.nyc.gov
Just go to the left side of the screen and go to the fire dept., its under one of the scroll bars, then just go to employment for the FD.
