About LinkBacksIam 17 years old and want career as a wildland fire fighter. Iam enrolled at my local communtiy college in basic wildland fire control.Can some one give me advice on how to achieve my goal

Judging from your name, you are interested in joining the ranks of the feds. Regardless of whether you want to go FS, BLM, or CDF, pick up the phone and start making contacts now. Most colleges in CA are getting ready to start Monday, so a large portion of the seasonal workforce is leaving/has left. Call your local FS Fire folks, and see what they're schedule is like for hiring for next season. If you get your name in early, you stand a better chance of getting picked up. Likewise with CDF.
