    Default Has/Does anyone use this?

****DISCLAIMER**** I do not sell this product. Just looking for opinions.......

Just wondering if anyone has heard of or use or used a product called F-500 from HCT? HERE is a webiste for it.

My brother told me about this stuff. His FD in GA uses this....... Sounds pretty effective. I ordered one of the eBooks and just got it in the mail. They have a lot more info/videos in it than they do on the site.

I'm waiting for one of the people from the company to call me. Supposedly they have a demo coming up sometime in this area.... I think it would be pretty neat to see. I also would like to see comparisons of water vs. CAFS vs. F-500. I've never seen CAFS in use, but hear some people preach about it in these forums......

    Pardon me sir, but . . .

Ever heard of F-500 (aka...Fuel Buster)?

    New F-500 Foam

    F-500

    F500 or Class B

    (With apologies, I couldn't resist borrowing Weruj1's line! )

FWIW, I'd like to see their Class A fire demo performed side by side with plain water AND another with a typical wetting agent like wetter water or AFFF at low concentrations and see if it's all that different. I'm not convinced that it is on Class A fires.

I don't know what the stuff costs, either, as a wetter water or AFFF substitute, so that might be worth looking at as well.

I wonder if micelle encapsulator is just a fancy word for emulsifier?

OUCH!!!!! I guess it's better coming from you, than you know who........

As for the price, I can't remember off the top of my head, but I believe it was around $125 for 5 gallon pail, for 1-9 pails. Can't remember the rest............

I'll have to post more later..........

    OK, as for the Encapsulator...........

Basically the F-500 has 2 sides, a polar and non polar side. The polar side goes to the water and the non-polar goes towards the hydrocarbons.

Look at it like a ball (polar end) with a pompier ladder coming off of it (non-polar end). The pompier end bends around a hydrocarbon molecule with the steps sticking out, which basically renders it useless........ Kind of a screwy description, but that's kinda what it showed in the stuff I got in the mail.........

I'll have to go look at the other threads now........
