Default need help adding a microwave

We are looking at adding a microwave to our rescue unit. Question is do we have to purchase a DC powered microwave or should we use a power inverter? How is you unit set up? What brand of microwave is it.

    Thanks...

IMO, any truck designated as a rescue truck should have a generator, whether based on a pickup (light) or a traditional rescue, or a rescue pumper.

Inverters are a pain in the butt.

Well, if you only need AC for a microwave, there is no sense in getting a generator. Just make sure you check with the manufacturer of the inverter to confirm it will run a microwave of the given size.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.
