    Default Apparatus Purchasing Questions

My Department is going to purchase 3 new pieces of apparatus within the next month and we are looking for anyone who has or has had experience with Danko, Midwest Fire Equip, and U.S. Tanker to give good and or bad comments or suggestions on purchasing from these manufacturers. We are going to purchase 2 Tankers and 1 Pumper/Tanker. Please let us know either way with your experience.

Chief William Peters of Jersey City Fire Dept. has written a series of texts and at least one video on purchasing and specing new apparatus. This guy is the guru of apparatus. They are available online from Fire Engineering. Buy these books and read them before you spec or bid these pieces and you won't be sorry.
