    Hoo-yah Gar!

Should have joined you JROTC unit...i could enlist as an E-3 (Seaman) all due to NJROTC...I may still go the NROTC or AROTC route and get a reserve commisson.

    Good luck sailor!

101TRUCK - Cool Beans, congrats. I just boat a boat that is why this thread caught my eye. Seeings as I am here now I am kind of curious - are you retiring from the Job?, leave of absence, 20 and out?

Just curious, whatever, either way sounds like a pretty cool career change. Good Luck. I hope you don't get sea sick.

    Anchors Aweigh, my boys,
    Anchors Aweigh.
    Farewell to college joys,
We sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night on shore,
    Drink to the foam,
    Until we meet once more.
    Here's wishing you
    A happy voyage home.

You should start gettin to know your 11 Orders to the Sentry...they'll quiz you to death on those during BOOT.

The best food in the military is Navy food when out at sea...boy do they fix up some good food! (atleast that's what i've been told in my NJROTC unit) but you would think that it's true...inorder to work well, you must eat well (and have it taste good!)

I have heard food on the ships was great, but the guys in the subs ate like kings.
But when your in a pinch, aint nothing like a "ham sandwhich" to ease that burning hunger of not seeing any real food for months.
