    Default class 1 govener

Hello the first thing i have to tell you is the unit you are refering to is a Class One govener. What you are experiencing is normal operation as the gov looks for water pressure. If you set it at just for a number 150 psi, and are working off tank feed when you open the plug it will see a sudden increase in water pressure until it can return itself to the set pressure. one thing you can do is this when you are in pump situation off tank water, and fixing to open plug, lower your pump discharge pressure until you get plug water flowing. also if you are opening the plug line too fast it will cause a sudden increase. remember that just because it is electronic, it is not instant. taking your time when opening the intake line will help with the harsh increase in pressure. i hope this helps and drilling with it will also make it easier. also make sure you are working in pressure mode and not rpm mode. good luck

We had the same problem. Found that some of the drivers were opening the take to pump and refill/recert valves at the same time. Then when they opend the plug they had a pressure jump. Easy fix, close the damn refill/recert valve dummy
