    Welcome Nicolas,

I have a question about your PPE.

I have seen in pictures that most French FFs seem to be equiped with black turnout gear that seems to have the look of leather?

I am sure its not leather, but could you describe you PPE? Does it have a rubberized outer shell?

Do you have one of those silver/chrome F1 helmets?

What sort of SCBA do you use? Make and model, psi/bar, 1 or 2 cylinders, etc...

Are there a large number of fires in France?

What are you fire appliances like?

    Does France have any Wildfires?

Are there volunteer fire departments or is France all piad?

Do you have to take care of medical/ems?

Do you have any pictures you can share?

Why are you fancinated with American Fire Service stuff?

    Thanks and Welcome!!!

WOW. Just my luck today. I am helping my brother with a presentaion for his french class at the university on firefighters here in the US and in France. He asked me to coem one and make a plea for a french firefighter to send him information on equipment, pay etc, and maybe a few images, diffrent thign abotu the culture at firehouses there, it would be greatly apprecated if you could email me at Christopher.roberts@umit.maine .edu for an address to send some information it would make his day, and some websites too they can be both in french or english we speak both languages fairly well. Thank you in advance.
