I got these boots on a recent deployment, and love them. I was wondering if anyone know about dyeing the yellow portion of them black. Would this hamper the barrier effects of the fabric? I emailed Warrington and am waiting on a response. Anyone know anything further?
Thanks.

Dunno about the changing color stuff but as a USAR guy myself I do have a couple of questions.
How heavy are those bad boys? Are they comfortable for extended wear? And if you know are they somewhat resistant to slag and spark fallout?I.A.C.O.J IRISH TATTOOED-HOOLIGAN

They are much lighter that the Iron Age boot, and I think alot more comfortable. Don't get me wrong, I like the Iron Age boot alot, and always have, but this one being lighter and just as if not more comfortable, that is why I want to change the color of it, so I can wear it at the fire station.
As for the the sparks and slag, I'm not sure, the fabric almost feels like bunker gear material.
