    Talking I love this Job!

Yesterday was one of those shifts that stays with you. Let me tell you a little story first. Last February my crew responded to a multi vehicle MVA with entrapment on a major highway. The crash left a young woman with terrible head injury and claimed the lives of her brother and a friend. After a tough extrication the girl was airlifted from the scene in critical condition...we all assumed the worst for her. Fast forward to yesterday. This fiesty young lady shows up alive and well to our firehouse bearing pizza and her gratitude! We couldn't believe it. Her mother told us how her daughter fought through a coma and extensive and ongoing rehab. She is making a fantastic recovery and we are thrilled to say the least. We now consider her a friend and she is welcome at our house whenever she wants. This is why we do it people...I love this job! -46

Excellent! Some thing like this makes up for a lot of the other "stuff" we have to put up with.

Awesome! I imagine it doesn't happen a lot which must make it even more special for you when it does.

Congratulations! I can't even imagine how awesome it must feel to bring someone back like that! I have such admiration for firefighters. You make such a difference in people's lives. The good you do travels in waves that touch more people than you will ever know.

Congrats to all involved! Makes all the bad things seem small when you witness an event such as this. I'll bet that this will be the beginning of a long relationship with your crew and this very strong and brave young lady.
