I belong to a small town/small budget fire department that used to stand at the stoplight once a year to raise money to purchase equipment. We would average anywhere from $3500 to $4000 per year for about 6 hours work.

Now the state will only allow state-wide fundraising organizations (Lions, etc) to collect funds on major state roads.

I am just curious how many other Illinois departments are taking a big hit in their fundraising efforts due to the new ordinance.
